Brotherhood Orientation
Begin With Brotherhood
Orientation introduces prospective members to DLF values, expectations, and the commitment behind a life rooted in love, honor, trust, leadership, and discipline.
Purpose
Brotherhood Orientation is a structured process designed to support educational, personal, and communal growth. It helps each prospective member learn how to live the principles of Love, Honor, and Trust in everyday life while building a deeper sense of belonging within DLF.
Fraternal Responsibilities
- Commit to the values of brotherhood, leadership, discipline, and community
- Approach the process with accountability, honesty, and respect
- Understand that membership in DLF is a lifetime commitment
- Grow into a role that strengthens the fraternity and supports fellow brothers
The Pledge Process
During initiation, new members are known as Pledges. This stage centers on education, respect, and preparation. Pledges are treated with the same respect as full members while learning to embody the values, responsibilities, leadership, and discipline expected of a fraternal brother.
Not Hazing
DLF’s initiation process is not hazing. It is not built on humiliation, harm, or degradation. Instead, it is a positive educational experience that develops discipline in mind, body, and spirit and helps each member build a stronger connection to the Brotherhood.
Qualification
The initiation process may take anywhere from one month to two years depending on the individual’s progress, readiness, and development.
New members must also pay the enrollment fee in full before completing the process.
